Williston Public School District Students, Parents and Community Members
Welcome back to school! School will start for the students on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. The Williston Public School District administration, staff and school board look forward to a very good year.
We have enrolled over 250 new students this year. This is less than we anticipated, but we are ready for the new students to join our system. Because of increased student growth, we have leased 24 modular classrooms for McVay Elementary School and 8 modular classrooms for the Middle School.
Though we are facing challenges with the rapid enrollment, be assured, the Williston School District # 1 is committed to offering a safe, supportive and quality learning environment for all children. We have a highly qualified staff that will provide quality learning experiences to all students while holding high expectations for all students.
We look forward to working with our parents, students and community and we encourage you to visit the schools during “Open House” events at the beginning of the school year. We have planned a community “Open House” for the new modular classrooms at McVay Elementary School for later in September, but you are welcome to visit the new school at any time after August 22, 2012.
